Its very possible the battery wasnt the issue. You probably have a shorted power line which is keeping it from turning on. I would highly suggest you find a microsoldering tech to assist you. Id be happy to make a recommendation if you're in the US. Replace the charging flex/module.

Consider replacement at 85%. Try a recalibration. Drain battery until it shuts off. Then recharge 100% without using. Connect youâre new battery (the old one does not need to be removed to test it) then connect your screen (it will be 3 connectors, screen Touch ID and front camera) turn on your phone. There is a chance, not a great chance but worth a solid shot, that Apple will replace the battery for free or the special $30 rate they offered for the class action lawsuit they covered for any iPhone still being supported. My friend had a her iPhone 11's battery replaced after 2.5 years for $30 because the Battery Health got down into the 70's.
If possible, get a good used screen instead. As for the battery, itâs all luck when pulling those tapes out. Doesnât matter how careful you are, some will break, some wonât. That is the hardest part for the battery. Once you get the old one out, just drop in the new one. If possible, use just one tape.
